Thomas E. Falkner, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born May 10, 1957 in Eau Claire to J. Edward and Mary (nee Stolp) Falkner. Tom graduated from Regis High School in 1975. A lifelong Eau Claire resident, he worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years. Most recently, he found his calling driving truck for Prairie Ag Supply based out of Rusk. For over 24 years, he was a volunteer with the Town of Union Fire Dept. where he worked his way up from Firefighter to Battalion Chief. A selfless individual, Tom was everyone's favorite and passionate for the things he loved: his children, grandchildren, his motorcycle and cars. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his daughter: Nicole (Levi) Hatleli of Eau Claire, WI; a son: Thomas Falkner, Jr. of Eau Claire, WI; two grandchildren: Christian and Caleb Hatleli both of Eau Claire, WI; his father: J. Edward Falkner of Eau Claire, WI; six siblings: Mary Lu (Ron) Dudash of Eleva, WI; Chuck Falkner of Eau Claire, WI; Larry Falkner of Eau Claire, WI; Beth (Sam) Hunt of Chippewa Falls, WI; Patrice Falkner of Eau Claire, WI and Cheri Falkner of Eau Claire, WI. Further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; his paternal grandparents: Joe and Emma Falkner and his maternal grandfather: Charles Stolp, Sr. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th Street. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday at the church. Interment will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery. Plombon’s All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service is serving the family.
