Sharon E. Laemmrich, 83, passed away peacefully in Madison, Wis., on May 9, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 31, 1941, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Menasha.
Sharon is survived by her two sons, Michael (Erin) Laemmrich and Pat (Trish) Laemmrich (Scanlon); and her four grandchildren, Hannah, Dane, Malec (Elsie) and Avery. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry (Connie) Anklam and Patricia Neubauer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, David Reppen; and her parents, Harold and Erin Anklam.
She attended Lawrence University studying music and used her beautiful voice making everyone smile when she sang for church, weddings, funerals and the ever-popular happy birthday song to everyone she knew. She was particularly fond of having her family visit her and Dave at the “Ranch” when the annual scavenger hunt quickly turned into family karaoke night.
She was always a hard worker and spent her career working for the State of Wisconsin at Mendota Mental Health, and the Wisconsin Air National Guard, where she had many close friends. She loved traveling and especially loved New York City where she found her love of fashion. If you knew her, she was always sharply dressed in her favorite colors - black and white.
While her friends and family were her true love, she loved her cat, Ms. Maggie, and found comfort in her last year of life in memory care with Maggie. She was a great mother and an even better grandma. She loved all of them being by her side in the final stages of life. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
