Sharon (Parkin) James, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at UnityPoint Health - Meriter Hospital, with her devoted husband Michael by her side as she joined loved ones in Heaven.

Sharon graduated from Madison East High School and attended the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She retired from the State of Wisconsin, where she worked for many years. She also held her real estate license.

On June 29, 1983, Sharon married the love of her life, Michael James. This year would have marked their 43rd wedding anniversary.

Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, boating, going on cruises, fishing, playing cards, cribbage, and making wonderful memories with family and friends. She was happiest when hanging out with her loving family and beloved grand dogs at her lake home in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. She never passed up an opportunity to have fun.

She will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and the ability to bring her loved ones together. The traditions she created and the love she shared will continue to live on through her family.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Brett (Emily) Kundert and Bridget (Matthew) Wirth; Sheila (Paul) Ulrich and Shannon (Tom) Fischer. She was a proud grandmother to Michael Kundert (Elisa Boehmer), Lexi Kostinek (Jacob Stienmann), Austin Hickox (Michelle McPhail), Brandon Meeker (Cassidy Wilbourne), Brent Meeker, Remington Fischer, Thorne Fischer, and Sterling Fischer (Taylor Lauren). She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Aubrie Bartelt, Levi McPhail, Tucker Hickox, and Jack Meeker, who brought her so much joy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Sandy (Jerry) Schoeneman and by her in-laws, Debra (Terry) Gorsuch, Connie (Don) Cronin, Terri (Mark) Moehrke, and Ellen James; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marian Parkin; her sister, Susan (Dieter) Steiner; daughter, Tammy Meeker; granddaughters, Kayla Kundert and Brooke Meeker; her father- and mother-in-law, Lafie and Nancy James; and in-laws, Joyce (Harland) Higley, Vivian (Don) Wampole, Robert (Ilene) James, Douglas (Carol) James, and Daniel James.

In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Achterberg Archery/Pardee Sports Club 22, N6759 State Road 22, Pardeeville, WI 53954.
