Sean P. Brennan

SUN PRAIRIE/MONONA – Sean Patrick Brennan, age 60 of Monona and formerly of Sun Prairie, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 1, 2025. He was born June 10, 1964, in Evanston, Ill, the son of Raymond G. “Sully” Brennan and Jean (Buddeke) Brennan. From an early age, he was raised by Sully and Jean (Holdgrafer) Brennan.

Sean graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine and Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, Minn. He was married to Eden (Alexander) Wakefield for several years, and together they had two wonderful sons, Patrick and Michael.

Sean worked for a number of years at Johnson Industries International and later for Exact Sciences. He had a great sense of humor and was very proud of his sarcasm with others. Sean enjoyed spending time at the family cabin on Green Lake, loved music, watching sports (especially the Packers), and his dogs. He was grateful for over 40 years of friendship with his two best friends, Jim Pietkivitch and Craig Kroll.

Sean is survived by his sons, Patrick and Michael Brennan; granddaughters, Hadley and Fiona; mother, Jean (Holdgrafer) Brennan; siblings, Bryan (Jessica) Brennan, Erin (Chris) Lezotte, and Tim (Julie) Brennan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Sully Brennan, and his mother, Jean (Buddeke) Brennan.

A Celebration of Sean’s Life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at SOMEWHEREINTIME FARM, 4324 Smith Dr., Deerfield, Wis., with a short service beginning at 2 p.m.
