Neil Alden Williamson, age 81, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1944, in Madison, Wis., to Walter and Marcia Williamson.
Neil graduated from Madison East High School in 1962. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement at the age of 49. Neil loved cars, the Packers, Badger football and basketball, the Brewers and visiting casinos. Neil loved his kitty, Princess Leia. During the last few months of his life, Leia rarely left his lap or his bed. She sometimes would get in the way of the nurses who were attending to him. She was very protective of him.
Neil is survived by his wife, Linda (Matney, Biddick) Williamson; sisters-in-law, Carolyn J. Matney, Judy Wolfram, Toni (Jim) Nelson and Karen (Brian) Williamson; daughter Kristin (Roy) Newman; stepchildren Brandon (Patricia) Biddick, Jacqueline (John) Coluccy and Tammy (Mike) Deegan. He also leaves behind to mourn him step-grandchildren, Danielle and Jack Coluccy and Micaela and Mason Biddick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marcia Williamson; daughter, Dawn Sanger; brother, Brian Williamson; former wife, Patricia “Patty”; and his best friend, Bob Femrite.
Neil will be greatly missed by his wife, family, friends, and his beloved companion, Princess Leia.
Rest in peace dear man. You are now free from pain and earthly cares.
