Nancy A. Nesheim

Nancy A. Nesheim, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Our House Assisted Living in Cambridge. Nancy was born in Columbus, Wis., on December 13, 1941, the daughter of Frank P. and Agnes J. (Fisch) Scheel.

After graduating from Deerfield High School, she attended beauty school in Madison. On April 1, 1967, Nancy took over the Deerfield Beauty Shop and operated it for 36 years before retiring in 2003 due to health concerns.

Nancy was united in marriage with Leon A. “Lee” Nesheim on September 13, 1969.

Nancy was very active in RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program), in 2014 receiving the Dane County RSVP President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. She was a member of St. Paul’s Liberty Lutheran Church in Deerfield as well as Christ Lutheran Church in DeForest when her and Lee lived there.

Nancy is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee on August 10, 2011; parents, Frank and Agnes; brothers, Raymond, Donald and Francis; and a sister, Beatrice.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, Monona, with Rev. Holly Slater presiding.
