Lencola D. Lang

It is with profound love and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lencola Denise “Nee-Nee" Lang on June 22nd, 2026.

Born on September 9, 1980 to parents Gloria R. Norman-Moccaldi and Donnie Lee Thomas in Utica, New York, Lencola brought love, joy and beauty to everyone around her.

Diagnosed with Autism in her early years, although non-verbal, Lencola possessed the ability to communicate her needs in so many special, effective ways. Lencola loved being in water, whether it was at the beach or in a pool, it was pure enjoyment for her. Lencola had a unique fascination with beautiful trees and bright colors. She also enjoyed music in all different genres ranging from Kingdom melodies to Jazz, and all points in between. There was nothing better for her to be in the car riding with her music on while eating her favorite snacks. Lencola was indeed a foodie. Her favorite cuisine was Italian. She loved her spaghetti and pastas. Most importantly of all, Lencola loved being surrounded by her family who loved and cherished her dearly.

Lencola taught all of those around her the true meaning of patience, love, understanding, and how to find wonder in the small wins in life with her infectious smile and laughter.

Lencola is predeceased by her parents Gloria R. Norman-Moccaldi and Donnie Lee Thomas.

Lencola is survived by her siblings: Sisters- Osahon S. Okosun, Leandra K. Moccaldi, Shantel Williams of Nahunta, Georgia and Cloie Elam of Cincinnati, Ohio. Brothers: Eric S. Norman, and Greg Moundine of Louisville, Kentucky, also her extended family in Southern Georgia and Rochester New York.
