Joseph R. Nendze

JANESVILLE – Joseph R. Nendze, age 70 of Janesville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007 at home. He was born in Bellwood, Illinois, on June 6, 1936, the son of the late August and Eleanor (Marx) Nendze. Joseph served active duty in the U.S. Navy for 2 years and the reserves for 4 years. He worked for Active Disposal in Illinois. He later moved to the Janesville area and worked for General Motors for 30 years retiring in 2003. He is survived by his wife Patricia, two sons, Michael (Lucy) Nendze, Plainfield, Wis., and Joseph R. (Kim) Nendze, Jr., of Janesville; a daughter, Julie Nendze-Peterson, of Janesville; 9 grandchildren; 5 step-children, Cynthia (Gary) Burns, of Milton, Pamela Kruckenberg, of Columbia City, Ind., Lori (Brian) Leek, of Edgerton, Nick (Cathy) Lueck, of Janesville, and Margaret Fessenden, of Wilton; 8 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great grandchildren; two brothers, August (Barb) Nendze and James (Barb) Nendze, all of Elgin, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Jean Nendze, of Hillside, Ill; a half brother, George (Gloria) Brandt, of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Don; and a half brother, Robert Brandt. Private family services were held.
