Jessica S. Pederson, age 37 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was born on May 24, 1987, in Madison, Wis., to Jim and Judy (Scieszinski) Pederson. Jessica attended Monona Grove Schools and Lafollette High School.
Jessica loved music and was a former singer in local bands. “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, “Hard to Save a Life”, and “I Will Always Love You”, are just a few of her favorites she could be heard singing throughout any day. She loved dogs, makeup, and loved to eat, especially McDonalds cheeseburger, fries and ketchup; she loved to color, watch movies, car rides and being with other people. Jessica enjoyed swimming, taking naps, and painting other people’s nails. She loved making people laugh and had her own infectious laughter and smile.
Jessica was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, and a loyal friend to all who knew her. Jessica showed incredible courage despite all the challenges she faced with a traumatic brain injury. She never lost her core spirit, continuing to show her kindness, humor, and determination to those around her. She taught us all about strength and unconditional love.
Jessica will be deeply missed by her family, including her brother, Josh Pederson; aunts, Beth (Randy) Alt, Sue (Ken) Jedlinksi, Janet (William) Ring, Paulette (John) Spink, and Marybeth (Tom) Bates; uncles, Billy Pederson and Robert (Heidi) Scieszinski; and several cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Judy Pederson, and grandparents, Paul and Irene Pederson and Sally and James Scieszinski.
A Celebration of Jessica’s Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison, with visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of service.

I Do Not Think My Song Will End
by John Hathcock
I do not think my song will end
While flowers, grass and trees
Abound with birds and butterflies
For I am one with these.
And I believe my voice will sound
Upon the whispering wind
So long as even one remains
Among those I call “friend.”
I shall remain in hearts and minds
Of loved ones that I knew,
And in the rocks and hills and streams
Because I love those, too.
So long as love and hope and dreams
Abide in earth and sky,
Weep not for me, though I be gone.
I shall not really die.
