Jamie John Tourdot, born April 17, 1974, passed away on August 20, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply after facing pancreatic cancer with remarkable strength and determination.
Jamie married the love of his life, Kelly (Ward) Tourdot, on November 6, 1999. Together, they built a life centered around family as they raised their three children, Taylor (22), Avery (20), and Trevor (17). Of all the things Jamie accomplished in his life, being a husband and father was what mattered most to him.
Jamie was always a proud, hands-on dad, and through the years, he could be found at countless games, matches, and events, always one of Taylor’s, Avery’s, and Trevor’s biggest fans.
For 20 years, Jamie owned and operated Tourdot Custom Landscaping, a business he built and took great pride in. He believed in working hard, doing things right, and feeling satisfaction in what he created.
Jamie loved the outdoors, especially duck and deer hunting. For many years, he had hunting land where he spent countless hours with some of his best friends. Those days were about far more than the hunt; they were about friendship, stories, laughter, and time well spent together.
Baseball was also a constant in Jamie’s life. He was a devoted Milwaukee Brewers fan and followed Ashton Home Talent baseball for many years. On any given Sunday, there was a good chance Jamie would be at the ballpark, cheering on the team.
He loved the Green Bay Packers and also enjoyed traveling to Nashville to watch the Packers play—trips made even better with some live country music. All Jamie needed was good friends, a cold beer, a ballgame or some country music, and there would be plenty of laughter and smart talking to go around.
Wrestling held a special place in Jamie’s heart. A wrestler himself in high school, he later had the added gift of coaching alongside his favorite coach and mentor, Parker Vivoda. Over the years, Jamie helped countless kids learn to wrestle, sharing not only his knowledge of the sport but also his time, encouragement, and belief in them.
Jamie faced pancreatic cancer with incredible strength and determination. He endured so much because he wanted, above all else, more time with Kelly, Taylor, Avery, and Trevor. Even through his hardest days, concern for others never left him. He was notorious for asking the nurses and doctors who cared for him how they were doing, even while he was going through so much himself. This is simply who Jamie was.
The way Jamie lived during his final months reflected the way he lived his entire life—with determination, humor, concern for others, and an outsized love for his family.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Kelly; his children, Taylor, Avery, and Trevor Tourdot; his father, Francis Tourdot; his siblings, Jeff Tourdot, Jill Duncan, and Chris Tourdot; his father- and mother-in-law, Duane and Karen Ward; his sister- and brother-in-law, Kim and Jerry Markart; his brother- and sister-in-law, Derek and Becky Ward; and his special aunts and uncles, Jerome and Cindy Tourdot and Stan and Kathy Maier. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, friends, wrestling and hunting buddies, teammates, and others whose lives were enhanced by knowing him.
Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Duncan Hopwood; his aunts, Shelly Duncan Hadley and Barb Cable; and his great friend and hunting buddy, Bill Vanden Brook.
Jamie will be remembered for working hard, loving fiercely, showing up for his kids, helping others, cheering loudly, hunting with his buddies, supporting his favorite teams, enjoying a cold Bud Light, and never missing an opportunity for a little smart talk.
Most of all, he will be remembered as Kelly’s husband and Taylor, Avery, and Trevor’s dad—the roles he treasured above all else.
A Celebration of Jamie’s Life will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the DORF HAUS, 8931 County Road Y, Roxbury, with a service beginning at 3 p.m. Private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tourdot family to help honor Jamie’s memory.
