Howard D. Kringle, age 90 of Eau Claire, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born December 17, 1917 in Mikana, WI to Joseph and Goldie (nee Edgette) Kringle. On October 3, 1942, Howard married the former Lucille Gricuis. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII for 4 ½ years stationed with the 1982nd Quartermaster Truck Co. in England. He had been employed at Bark River Culvert and Equipment Co. for 26 years until his retirement in 1982. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Lucille of Eau Claire; two daughters: Kathleen (Sandy) McAndrew of Champaign, IL and Carol (Anthony) Kueber of Louisville, KY; two sisters: Blanche Rumphol of Rice Lake, WI and Evelyn Jelik of Helensville, WI; three grandsons: Brian McAndrew and Christopher and Nicholas Kueber; and two great-grandchildren: Cade and Maren McAndrew. Further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Glen and Lloyd; and a sister: Mildred. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Plombon’s All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM. Monsignor Edmund Klimek will officiate. Interment will be held on Wednesday, August 27th at the Northern Wisconsin Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Condolences may be made care of the funeral home or online at 866allfaiths.com.
