Harry G. Knapp Jr.

Harry G. Knapp Jr., 92, was born on October 6, 1933 in Beloit, WI to Harry and Margaret Knapp and passed away on June 22, 2026. He Served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954 and was in the reserves until 1959. After his service he returned to Beloit and became a master carpenter.

Harry married Marian in 1960. When he was younger he enjoyed working in his big garden, bowling, going to NASCAR races, going to “the river”, and doting on his special granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann. After Marians’ passing, he met Barb and they moved to Michigan on Lake Superior where he loved to spend time with her. They married on September 18, 1998.

They loved to travel, work on stained glass, and just spend time with each other, especially walking the shore of Lake Superior. Harry loved being outside whether it was hunting, fishing, working in the yard, or having bonfires with a margarita. Harry loved to joke with everyone, bringing laughter to everyone around him especially his loved ones.

Harry is survived by his loving wife Barb (Dugdale) Knapp; his children Kathy (Jim) Hanus, Koren (Brian) Pinkston, Harry (Bonnie Dompier), Karla Knapp, son in law Marc (Becky) Logan, and son in law Scott (Dawn Taylor) Logan; brothers Butch (Sandy) Knapp and brother in law Jack (Kathe) Dugdale; sister Karen Kavanaugh; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Marian (Williams) Knapp; his grandson Phillip; his sister Trish Ronek; brother in laws Tom Ronek and Richard Kavanaugh; and his parents.
