Donald James White

FORT MYERS, FL - Donald James White, age 81, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 after a battle with cancer and two Wisconsin winters. He was born on December 15, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Arthur and Frances (Jasudowicz) White. He was a graduate of the Naval Academy, served for 26 years and retired as a submarine commander. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katsuko. They were married for 50 years. Survived by his older sister Ruth, his son Jim, daughter-in-law Bobbi and three grandchildren: Hannah, Ethan and Julia. The family would like to especially thank his physician, Dr. Orest Kostelyna, the staff at Middleton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Ruby Team of Hospice, Inc.
