BELLEVILLE, WIS. – Dennis Walter Bieri, age 74, passed away peacefully in his home in Belleville on April 15, 2026, with his wife Linda, and daughter, Sabrina by his side.
He was born on June 4, 1951, to Irvin and Lou Ellen (Bolander) Bieri. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1969 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970, serving four years.
Dennis married Linda Sprecher on September 26, 1981, at Blackhawk United Methodist Church in Sauk City. Nine months later, they welcomed their one and only child, Sabrina.
For their 19th wedding anniversary, they went to Las Vegas where they enjoyed the Star Trek Experience. For their 25th wedding anniversary, they renewed their vows, “Hawaiian Style”.
Dennis enjoyed science fiction, playing video games, trips to the casino, bagpipes, going to parks, and picnics. Dennis was also in a bowling league with his best friend, David.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Sabrina (Brian) Jacobus; and his grandson, Steven, whose accomplishments Dennis was so proud of, including Taekwondo, bowling, Scouts and wanting to be a scientist. He is further survived by his mother, Lou Ellen; uncle, Roy (Lola); cousins; nieces; nephews; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and his best friend, Dave Burling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin; sisters, Denise and Darlene; brother-in-law, David; grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nichols Rd., Monona. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made in Dennis’ name to Monona United Methodist Church, Wounded Warriors, or Boy Scout Troop 61.
