Chanpheng Chareun

Chanpheng Chareun gained her angel wings on Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025, at Nazareth Rehabilitation, surrounded by love. Born on April 1, 1935, in Vientiane, Laos, Chanpheng lived a beautiful 90 years filled with devotion, laughter, and heart.

She was the center of her family’s world, spending her days caring for those she loved with patience and fierce tenderness. Chanpheng found joy in the familiar comforts of home—moving joyfully to traditional Lao music, sharing stories, and never failed to bring smiles and laughter. Her warmth and playful personality made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

Chanpheng’s legacy lives on with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished, remembered for her strength, generous heart, and the light she brought into every room.

Chanpheng is survived by her two sons, Phantavong Chareun and Kongduenge Chareun; two daughters, Manivanh Rattanakone and Vilayvieng Chareun; and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Vilayphone Chareun, in 1995; and her husband, Khamfanh Chareun, in 2016.

Rest in peace, Chanpheng Chareun. We all love you and will miss you, but you’ll always be with us. Keep on dancing.

A private cremation will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025. Followed by a burial service at SUNSET MEMORY GARDEN CEMETERY, 7302 Mineral Point Road., Madison, on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at 3 p.m. All family and friends are welcome to attend the burial service.
