Carol A. Meier

Carol Ann “Rascal” Meier, born January 30, 1941, in Ramona, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly in Madison, Wisconsin, August 4, 2026. We’re all still stunned.

She leaves behind her life partner, Etas Carria; her teeny tiny little dog, Luci Liu; her sister, Phyllis Brunner; her nieces, Diane Whittmore and Michelle (Michael) Sumaruk; nephews, Donald Arnold, Jamie Brunner, Joey Brunner, and a host of great nieces and nephews; her life-long friend, Lynn Laufenburg; her close spiritual circle (Kari, Dawn, Kathy, Justice, Lance, Etas), and a raft of friends from her employment with the State of Wisconsin.

She will be remembered for her immense sense of humor, the joy she brought to everything she touched, and her stubbornness. She was the first president of the Capital City Moose Service Center #2724, in Madison, Wisconsin. She was a hard-working member of RDA (1995-), and a beloved Sacredweb sister (1995-). She was an enthusiastic participant in the local chapter of the Red Hat Society.

She loved Nature, especially car trips to marvel at the Fall colors. She loved to paint nature scenes and was pretty crafty. Waiting for her at the Rainbow bridge are all her other human and animal friends. We miss you fiercely, Rascal. Say “Hello!” to Sandra when you see her.
