MADISON – William F. Klawes, age 64 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly at St. Marys Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013. He was born in Madison on Dec. 6, 1948, and raised by Doris and Kurt Hentschel. After graduating from high school, Bill entered in the United States Navy, where he received various Medals of Honor while serving in Vietnam. Bill worked many years as a truck driver and also as a dispatcher and driver from Madison Taxi. He is survived by his wife, Evie; three children, John (Becky) LeRoy, David (Yutiva) LeRoy and Angela LeRoy, all of Beverly Hills, Florida; five grandchildren; five brothers, Larry, Dennis, Randy, Danny and Gordon; two sisters, Ruth and Virginia; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Allen and David; and a sister, Bonnie. A memorial gathering celebrating Bill’s life will be held at the SUNDOWN SALOON, 57 S. Stoughton Rd., Madison on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
