Glenn R. Oestreich

SUN PRAIRIE – Glenn R. “Pete” Oestreich, age 95, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Sterling House Assisted Living in Sun Prairie. He was born in Clark County, Wis., on Jan. 21, 1916. He married Birdine Meacham on Aug. 6, 1941. He spent his early life farming and then became a carpenter. He was a member of Sun Prairie United Methodist Church. Glenn is survived by his wife, Birdine; sons, Ross (Kay) and Daniel (Harriet); four grandchildren, Joan (Jason) Irwin; Jon (Kelly) Oestreich, Jill (Mike) Bandli; and Kim (Nick) Widener; great grandchildren, Alex, Beth, Brooke, Crystal, Karly, Caitlin and Jon, Jr.; great great granddaughter, Catherine. A memorial service will be held at the SUN PRAIRIE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 702 North St., Sun Prairie on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 beginning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at the First United Methodist Church in Waukegan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry are suggested.
