Barbara May Morgan, 43, of Beloit, passed away on Aug. 17, 2008 in Beloit, WI, following a long and courageous fight with cancer. She was born on Sept. 22, 1964, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Dr. Charles and Mrs. Joy Boardman. She married Thomas M. Morgan on Dec. 22, 1990, in Beloit. A 1982 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, she received a Bachelor of Arts from Carroll College in 1986. She received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Beloit College in 1990. She was a teacher at Gaston Elementary school in the Beloit School District. She is a past president of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at Carroll College, former Director of Children’s Creative Center and Cradle Care, Sunday School Teacher at First Presbyterian Church, founder and co-Director of Beloit Stand For Children Action Team, co-founding advocate of Beloit Shots for Tots immunization program, past president of Todd Elementary School PTA, board member and volunteer for Kids Fun and Drama, Hands of Faith Shelter Program, Southern Wisconsin AirFest, and founding donor of the Wisconsin Aviation Academy. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas M. Morgan; daughters, Sarah Joy Morgan and Anabelle Taylor Morgan; parents, Dr. Charles and Mrs. Joy Boardman; siblings: John Boardman, C.R. Boardman, and Colleen Boardman; and many friends inspired by her spirit and strength. A funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 501 Prospect Ave., Beloit, Wisconsin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be given to the Wisconsin Aviation Academy, 1130 West Enterprise Dr., Janesville, WI 53546, and the Gaston Elementary School, 610 McKinley Ave, Beloit, WI 53511
