STOUGHTON - Alan Big Al Anderson, age 59 passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at home following a long illness. He was born April 25, 1953 in Madison; the son of Gordon and Phyllis (Scovill) Anderson. Alan was a member of Plumber & Pipefitters Local 430. He lived to the fullest with devotion to all of his loved ones. He sacrificed his time to care for his parents for several years. Alan loved to play his guitar and music loud to rock the house as well as being generous with his time, teaching the guitar to his nephews. Alan was a mechanic to all those in need. If Alan was not at home he could be found deer hunting, fishing or giving boat rides on Lake Kegonsa. Alan was a proud man, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his daughter Dawn Phyllis McKee of Madison; grandson Steffaunne of Madison; brothers, Daniel, of Beloit; Norman (Rita) of Soldiers Grove; Philip (Tressa) of Stoughton; sisters, Victoria Anderson of Maryland, Cindy (Michael Ciszewski) Anderson of Stoughton and Debra (Jeffrey) Erwin of Turtle Lake; nephews, John Anderson, Jeremy Erwin, Jordan Erwin, Calvin Anderson; nieces, Melisa Erwin, Whitney (John) Mell, Michelle (Kevin) McGinley and Jennifer (Brad) Bomkamp; great-niece, Destiny Dvorak; extended family Julie Anderson and Malson Anderson; dear friends, Mark (Nancy) Gratiot, Burt Ladd, John Quale, Denise Watson and Kenny Farris; along with countless other family and friends. Alan was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Philip (Ida) Scovill; paternal grandparents, Linden (Nellie) Anderson; uncles Noman (Jean) Scovill, Roger (Carolyn) Scovill, Howard Anderson and 2nd Dad Russell Gratiot. A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family. Big Al, if love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill.
